Embracing Los Angeles culture, the Bball Short blends comfort, style, and craftsmanship. Crafted with handwoven, indigenous fabric from the Philippines, they feature artisanal detail into the classic basketball short silhouette. Thoughtful features include two 7” deep pockets and a 60” braided cotton drawstring, creating a piece that is both functional and distinctively modern.
The patterns of Binakol cloth are deliberately dizzying — an ancient geometric pattern designed to unsettle the eye. Traditionally, its swirling forms echo a woman’s navel, the source of life and light; in other interpretations, they evoke a protective whirlwind, a guardian force believed to ward off spirits that drift above and prey on sleeping souls.
