Embracing Los Angeles culture, the Bball Short blends comfort, style, and craftsmanship. Crafted with handwoven, indigenous fabric from the Philippines, they feature artisanal detail into the classic basketball short silhouette. Thoughtful features include two 7” deep pockets and a 60” braided cotton drawstring, creating a piece that is both functional and distinctively modern.
“Illata” means “eyes” in the Kalinga dialect, yet the fabric itself speaks beyond translation—an expression of culture rather than a single defined word. Woven on ancestral backstrap looms, Kalinga textiles are shaped by belief and the rhythms of the natural world. Their motifs draw from birds and animals, from mountains and stars, forming patterns that mirror the land and the stories the weavers carry forward.
